Demon of freaking everything.

Just a quickie- the demon of freaking everything is a little fun sculpt I started to talk my nephew through the process.   I added a long sucker arm whilst waiting for my ogres to bake.

  1. That's actually pretty nice! I really like how spindly the hand is...your nephew is lucky to be able to get pointers first hand!

Speaking of which, what wattage of bulb do you use for your oven? And how long do you usually have to bake sculpts to cure them? I think mine might be a little too hot...

  2. I dont know the wattage- you only need it warm enough to accelerate the putty you are using... I would check manufacturers notes and grab an oven thermometer.

  3. I sculpt with polymer clay, baking it in a halogen oven at 120c. The oven has a "thaw" setting at about 60c, you can cure GS etc in about 15mins using it on thaw. The halogen oven cost me about £25

  4. Loving the hand, reminds me a bit of the war of the worlds tv series... Like the sneaky pics of the greens in the background
