Shakes (sadly not the hippy, hippy kind)

Graboid my Bacon

 Hey all,

I just had a lovely week vacation in the local hospital.  Good news is I am home now, bad news is I have anxiety tremors that make me thrash around like a Silent Hill Nurse riding an Alien that has just been pulse rifled in the nads.

I am told it is not permanent, and I should recover in a few days.

I hope it will die down in time for me to enjoy the plastic crack Sanity Claus will no doubt bring me!

Oh, and I saw the new GW 32mm bases.  CALLED IT BITCHES!!  Remember I said that would be the first thing I did with 40k?  Yeah.  Hopefully they will follow my other suggestions.

  1. Since you seem to be able to influence Games Workshop's release schedule, can you start banging on about genestealer hybrids?

I hope you'll be feeling better soon!

    1. No! Next stop is halving retail price to stop 'walk away customers' who would otherwise buy a lot more profuct instead of none at all.

Then returning white dwarf to newsagent stands to attract new customers.

Then reducing entry price by loss leading the core rulebooks and making cheap starter packs.

And matting down the new paint range, making the bottles have a slotta groove on top to double as painting handles...

      Making blister sized bitz packs.

Making new kits build multiple unit types...

      You know... Actual business ideas.

    2. Okay, so genestealer hybrids after that?

(Good ideas one and all. I love the paint pot lids idea. Genius.)

    3. Kinda.. I would take Genestealers out of Tyranids and give them hybrids and limosines. The hybrids would be 100% compatible with imperial guard and chaos cultist kits.

But don't worry... 'nids would get Zoats back... with a plastic kit that makes both fantasy or 40k zoats, including heavy weapons, mages and other zany stuff. Zoatybix packs too.

    4. I'm happy with that. The limousines were the best bit!

  3. Anxiety just seems to get my heart to skip a beat, but I agree with the business suggestions, let us all hope they seek further wisdom from you Delaney.

    1. Anxiety is a killer. Take it very seriously.

I should just beat them at their own game... kickstarter plastics anyone?

  5. They have started creating kits that cover multiple unit types.
In fairness to reality they are still for the same army, just units that do different things. (Grey Knights, Space Marines and the new Tyranid pointy sharp monster thing that looks exactly like the other one, but costs $20 more because its got an extra arm, etc)
This also allows for build up of bitz catalogue for minor conversions or scenery.
Forge world has also produced some chaos cultist kits that were compatible with imperial guard, but they almost always had air bubbles. A lot of their newer stuff seems to have gotten rid of this issue, but they took their bloody time.

    1. I am okay. Still a tad crazy and jittery, but okay. At least they let me have sharp objects now.

  7. Sorry to hear this happened to you. Something similar happened to me the other year. Stress is a sneaky bugger. Hope you are on the way to recovery!
