Strip mounting

I had seen tips about mounting figures on strips for painting units and I thought it was a much of a muchness, however one day I tried it and am totally amazed by the amount of time it saves. Simply picking up and putting down minis to do repetative tasks takes a huge amount of time- and you get a few toppled figures for your efforts.
Blue tac them onto really thick card, and dont put too many on a strip- more is not better.
Once all the repetative stuff is done, its time to focus on the individual minis. I transfer my figures onto plastic bottlecaps. Slash up the top so the blu-tac can adhere.
Some folk use corks, but these topple too easily for me- you need to glue a washer underneath. Another trick is to drill a pin into the figures feet, so you can hold it with a pin vice. Yep. I use caps.
